Fun Times in Graceland

This is like the postscript to graduation: on Monday, May 21, Jo, Chelsea and I visited Grace's house.

First we watched Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Which was either a great idea or a really really bad one.

Then a really great moment happened. We were hanging around Grace's house, laughing and talking, and laughing at Jo, and making fun of Jo, and at one point Jo, having been shut down once again, exclaimed "Oh! This is why I don't hang out with you three at the same time!"

Annnd then noraebang! Good thing we had all been working on our articulation beforehand!

The next day we woke up late--though not that late. I think the others really enjoyed being awoken by my alarm clock. Anyway, after we escorted Grace to a dentist's appointment a la News Channel 4  we had SUUUUPER YUMMY jja jung myun!!

Then Jo and Grace saw me and Chelsea off. I drove her to the subway so she could go back to Vassar, and then I went home.

I looooooove you guys!

GRADUATION

First, we line up behind Vogelstein.

Then, during the marching out:

I think Grace is in that line somewhere. Can you see her?

Afterward, we chilled at the TA. My parents and aunt and uncle made delicious sandwiches for all of us! It was amazing. Our kitchen was full of lovely people one last time <3

Peace.

Ramble On

Our 'last' Roundabout Ramblers concert was this past Friday, May 18. It was a bit surreal. It's great that all the band knows us now, not just Erin and Jo. When I introduced my parents, who came up for the show, to D.B., he told them that I'd been to more of their gigs than he had!  Which is almost true. I'll really miss the Ramblers. But they were on fire that last night!

Here's a video of the song that Jo and Erin composed to bid the Ramblers farewell.

Then the Ramblers ended the show with a rendition of "Galway Girl" that brought tears to my eyes.

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Roundabout Ramblers' CD?

Jos Before Hos: Senior Week Concert

First let me set the scene with these photos:

Here, the fangirls and Michael wait in eager anticipation.

And here's a photo of your veteran blogger:

Here's an adorable picture of T.A.
And Michael rendering a graphic for the performance.
ALL RIGHT.

Now what follows is a series of nine videos documenting their performance, including their six performed songs and some extra footage from yours trewlay ;)

1: Behind the scenes: your veteran reporter scouts out the scene backstage.

2. Instrumental.
"Slothman." A song about Jo's roommate.
"Serena"

Good job, Jo(e)s!

Girls' Night and FOUNDER'S DAY 2012

Founders' Day 2012: We decided we weren't going to drink, even though this is the first Founders' Day that we're all legal, so that younger students could have a place to hang out if they wanted to avoid alcohol. So, like the responsible legal adults we are, Grace, S and I had a drink together the night before Founders' Day. We made it a girls' night!

Then here are some loverly Founders' Day pix:

Best quote of the day by far went to Anu: When asked how her first Founders' Day was, she delicately replied "It was eventful."

Prepostatory Par

Wow. This is it. I just got back from chillin' at Grace's house with Jo and Chelsea. Graduation was last Sunday. And that is that. Wow!

So I'm WAY behind on uploading pictures and videos and embarrassing stories. So I'm going to do it all in separate posts. This is just a preparatory missive. It's about to get crazy.

Me: What year is she?
Jill: Sophomore. Rising junior, whatever... Then what are we? Rising unemployeds? Rising nobodies?

10 days.

Also: Poor vellum

Another update: I finally submitted that manuscript I've been moaning about for weeks now. Womp-womp. This is why I stick to blogging:

All I can say is, I feel sorry for the poor cow who gave its hide for this. I'm sorry, cow. I'm sorry.

Terminal Propensities

So, not an hour ago, a certain drunken Russian bustled in here demanding that I go out and buy toilet paper, as we have once again been reduced to using paper towel.

When I got back:
This began a conversation between Jo and me about who is to blame for our lack of TP.  Jo has his own theories:
ALSO: I accidentally typed in www.ta37.com --without the 'blogspot' in the URL--to get to this site. You should check that site out.
