I, Grace, made delicious cookies. With help of course. I would like it to be noted that after six months of cookie-baking and recipe-trying, I finally made cookies that are not burnt, cakey, salty, clumped, flat, crumbly. I (and the house) have been waiting for this day for a long time. To be honest, I thought it might not ever come. Many times I wanted to blame the oven for not baking thoroughly or evenly. But now we know the truth! Our oven is not the problem--it works just fine (mostly). We can't blame it anymore! The problem is us, dear friends. Here's to hoping for the success of future baking endeavors. Perhaps losing our cookie sheet was the best thing that could have happened for our cookies. Last night we just laid the dough on sheets of foil and they came out evenly, with the exception of one casualty laying the bottom of the oven floor. It probably also helped that the name of the recipe used was "The Best EVER Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe." There you have it.
