I feel like I haven't written in forever! Maybe the idea of writing this blog into the second (and last) semester was daunting. Or frightening. Or maybe I've just been lazy this past week. In my defense, it's been REALLY cold, and it snowed at least twice in this week, and that makes everyone sleepy.
Well we've got lots of news in just the first week back, some of which will have to wait. I was filming my housemates (gee, what a surprise, huh?) and got a video of a lot of good moments happening in a very brief amount of time. I can't post it, however, for reasons of security (see the next paragraph) and because I really want to edit this video and clean it up a bit. I intended to save it and use clips of it to make a 'Best Of' montage, but as I now understand why my free video editing program is free (thanks for nothing, Avidemux!) that'll have to wait until I get myself into the DMZ (not the Korean one) and edit it properly.
Our next piece of big news: Sloth is a finalist! I won't write all about it until we get confirmation about the final decision, and I certainly won't post the video of us trying to figure out a variation of the "Happy Birthday to You" song that would be appropriate for a nominee. Hoo boy.
This brings us up to yesterday, Saturday, where we did pretty much nothing. Oh, except make Jill drive us all to Adam's in the middle of a blizzard. That was great. Regardless, I have a pretty funny video of Grace, Tian An and Michelle, but I'm not allowed to post that one either. Then Michelle's birthday party in the THs was yesterday evening.
And today, we're now making dumplings, sushi/kimbap, and fried fish for a Lunar New Year dinner! Pictures and video to follow!
The year is new, the food is old, the wine is froze, the fridge has mold. TA37.

Feeling very accomplished!
Just wanted to note that Grace, Michelle and I went food shopping just now and we feel very accomplished! Can't wait for our parents to come and see our digs!

Quotes from last night
Well, Jo got here last night, with S., L, and J. It was quite fun times--massages all around and lots of muscle-flexing on Jo's part. After the others left, however, and it was just Sto the Grill and T.A. in the TA, the discussion got a bit heated.
The biggest deal was the argument about whether the boys would be responsible for putting the toilet seat down again or whether the girls should do it as necessary. Needless to say, we were split evenly between the four of us on our opinion concerning that.
Stuart: The toilet seat moves in two directions--you can't say one is right and one is wrong.
Then the conversation moved to cleaning in general. Again, I'll quote my dear friend Stuart: I just think that we shouldn't have to clean. Then Jo began to tell us about the bathroom in his basement at home that he shares with his brothers. He insists he never cleaned it, and that it was still perfectly fine. This lead to an argument about anal cysts that I don't want to think about.
Finally, the discussion turned to food. We've got one vegetarian, one semi-vegan, and one affirmed meat eater in the house. Grace, who self-identifies as a "flexible omnivore" is going to be the easiest one to please, apparently. Jo then drew out a menu of all the food he'll be eating--for the year.

Hello World!
Day one of moving into TA37! Stuart, Grace and I are here now. Jo gets here tonight. Stuart's been here for a few days now. When he arrived there was no toilet paper in the house. Until Grace and I got here today, Stuart was walking to Main every time nature called. Excellent start!
We've spent most of the afternoon setting up the kitchen and arguing about what goes where. I am determined to keep my "tea and candy drawer" in the kitchen island.
Oh, Tian An's here too! T.A. in our TA :)
Now we're having a conversation about the bathroom that I don't feel like recording. It's going to be a great year!
EDIT: Stuart has already mixed up Grace and my names multiple times :) And now we're arguing about communal soap. Should we have it? Should we not? And what brand/type/size/scent should we get?
